Main Goal: RENOVATE aims to create an innovative, user-friendly platform that provides farmers and advisors with specialized training and knowledge for sustainable crop protection. The focus is on innovation, digitalization, and the effective implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) while ensuring alignment with EU legislation.

Target Groups: Farmers, particularly young farmers, women, and family-run farms, advisors for knowledge transfer, and manufacturers involved in pesticide applications.

Crops in Focus: Speciality crops like orchard fruits, vineyards, almonds, citrus, and olive trees.

Knowledge platform: RENOVATE develops an interactive, multi-language online platform that offers free access to training materials for farmers and advisors, connected to the EU-FarmBook and Modern AKIS projects

Training materials: Tailored, engaging content, including serious games, simulators, and self-assessment tools to help farmers optimize pesticide use, reduce environmental impact, and adopt new technologies.

Smart Tools: Resources on IPM, sprayer calibration, pesticide dose adjustment, and organic farming practices.

Build on resources developed by previous EU projects, including 14 EIP Agri Operational Groups, it will involve a complete representation of all the agents in the sector.

Consolidate the network to share practical knowledge for farmers to access training and implement innovative solutions.

Enhance farmers’ capacities to achieve sustainable crop management through the uptake of innovation.

Facilitate legislative applicable information, best practices, practical and real data about the implementation of innovations in the field of plant protection optimization.
