Participation in Research and Innovation (R&I) Webinar Pesticides and Integrated Pest Management
11-12 February 2025, organized by DG AGRI of the European Commission

We are pleased to announce the participation of the RENOVATE project in the “Research and Innovation (R&I) Webinar: Pesticides and Integrated Pest Management,” organized by the European Commission on February 11 and 12, 2025. This event has been a key opportunity to share knowledge and explore innovations in sustainable pest management and pesticide use.
RENOVATE , whose objective is to develop an easy-to-use interactive platform to modernize training and networking for farmers in the field of sustainable crop management, had a prominent presence in the sessions dedicated to research and innovation in this area. Our participation in the event allowed us to present the project’s progress and learn from other key initiatives in the field.
During the webinar, we attended various sessions that covered topics of great relevance to RENOVATE :
Day 1: Research and Innovation in Pesticides
- Session 1: National and EU-funded projects
- Session 2: Horizontal programs and projects
- Session 3: Innovations in Plant Protection Products and their impact on agricultural sustainability
Day 2: Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Exchange in Integrated Pest Management
- Session 1: Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects on Integrated Pest Management
- Session 2: Knowledge exchange and advisory services in Integrated Pest Management
- Session 3: Roundtable discussion on the implementation of Integrated Pest Management

In this context, RENOVATE has emphasized the importance of digital tools and interactive platforms in knowledge transfer and farmer training. We believe that the integration of innovative technologies can facilitate the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices and improve efficiency in pest management and pesticide use.
We thank the European Commission for organizing this event and all participants for their valuable discussions and contributions. At RENOVATE, we remain committed to improving training and networking in sustainable crop management and look forward to continuing to collaborate on future initiatives that promote agricultural sustainability.
