29 and 30 January RENOVATE project partners join in Turin to assess progress and next steps



On 29 and 30 January, the partners of the European project RENOVATE met in Turin (Italy) to discuss the progress achieved so far and to plan the next steps in the development of this initiative. The meeting, which was hosted by the University of Turin (UNITO) and attended by representatives of all the entities involved, focused on reviewing the milestones achieved, deliverables and defining strategies to optimize the impact of the project.
During the meeting, partners presented progress on their respective Work Packages (WP), highlighting achievements and addressing challenges that have arisen in the implementation of the project. New ways of collaboration were also discussed and priority actions for the coming months were established, taking into account the project obligations.
In particular, discussions were about the progress in the development of the RENOVATE platform, the collection of data from training programmes and other European projects, the preparation of serious games and simulators for the new training packages for farmers, the best way to organize the AKTAs, as well as communication and dissemination actions to promote the project.
The RENOVATE project, funded by Horizon Europe, aims to develop a training platform to improve farmers’ access to specialized training and knowledge ready to practice achieving more sustainable crop protection, through innovation and digitalization, implementation of Integrated Pest Management, supporting understanding and compliance with the EU legislative framework.
With this meeting, the partners reaffirm their commitment to meeting the set objectives and continue to work together to maximize the benefits of the project at European level.
The next follow-up meeting of the consortium will be held online and at the end of the year it is expected that they will meet again, this time at INRAe’s premises in Montpellier (France).
