RENOVATE featured in Vida Rural magazine. Special Issue on Biostimulants – June 2025.

As reported by the Spanish agricultural magazine Vida Rural on July 1st, the European project Renovate, funded with €3 million under the Horizon Europe program, is making progress toward improving agricultural sustainability through the exchange of practical knowledge among farmers. Under the theme “Digital innovation for a more sustainable agriculture in Europe,” RENOVATE is developing a comprehensive training platform that includes games, simulators, databases, and legislative resources to encourage more efficient and eco-friendly crop management.

Its main goals include identifying farmers’ training needs, creating accessible and practical content, and accelerating the adoption of new technologies through Advanced Knowledge Transfer Actions (AKTA).

Led by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the project brings together a consortium of 16 entities from 8 European countries, including universities, research centers, SMEs, and agricultural cooperatives.

Renovate aims to reduce the use of plant protection products, safeguard the environment, and support the objectives of the European Green Deal, promoting a more digital, innovative, and sustainable agriculture.
